Meet Shauna
Shauna Boatright is a Rantoul, Illinois native who has been an advocate for helping those in need all of her adult life. As a child sexual assault survivor and a survivor of domestic violence, she has her master's degree in social work and has served as a victim advocate, child welfare therapist, hostage negotiator, drug treatment specialist in the federal prison system, addiction recovery in a public hospital and is currently a consultant for community outreach for the Trauma & Resilience Initiative. Shauna volunteers her time to her church in the youth program and through music and is a co-director of the Miss Rantoul pageant. Shauna is most proud of her title “Mommy” to her 4 and 5 year old; her “why” for why she never gives up the good fight.
